This guy says... He should've said: I'm a "photographer".
More like "I take a picture and apply a fuckload of HDR. I also like to make things slightly blurry if I can"

He put the Phone in Photograph. (they do "hdr" now, right?)
Wait...what?

yeah, that is terrible. If his goal was to make you not look at the car, this is spot on though. Its actually kind of cool the way your eye moves away from the car when looking at this.

Who does he think he is, J.J. Abrams?

There are photographers, and there are people who take pictures.

Possibly... Maybe it wasn't taken with his professional camera.
My Android does HDR, but it does it in a manner that you can't actually tell when you show someone the pictures, I prefer HDR non-exaggerated, it can be great in certain situations where you quickly need to gain contrast/vibrancy.

In his defense, this picture is much better.

I tend to categorize myself as someone who takes pictures. If I ever get paid to do so... I may change that. =)

Some pictures just cannot be salvaged. So just leave them original and say something about potatoes.

Also a nice job lining the car up with the sun so a shadow falls directly in front of the car.

I almost finished my slightly snide comment with, "I always strive to be the former." I've been told I take "good" pictures, but I also put a lot of effort into it, and am always trying to learn the craft. I like to think that I get better with every picture I take. People have offered to pay me to take pictures, but I always decline. I'm not at that point yet. I wouldn't want the pressure. I am a professional musician, and it has taken almost 40 years of study and performance to get to this point. When I have many more years of study and experience taking pictures, I may finally call myself a photographer. So, I guess I would say that I take pictures but I try very hard to be good at it.

Exactly. At some point, you have to eat the soup as it is. Throwing more and more spices into it will only make it worse.

There's a line when it comes to HDR for me...and that line seems to get crossed quite a bit.
Oh well. To each their own...even if some results look like oil paintings.

What camera is he using? The depth of field is garbage. Unless that's what he is going for.

Sometimes you get a second bad experience in the bathroom.
